Since we don’t want our Nintendo DS Lite friends to feel left out, today we will look at the PlayGear Pocket Lite. This case is also designed to protect the Nintendo handheld gaming system from trauma and includes the ability of personalization. </p>
<p>One difference from the PSP model is that the PlayGear Pocket Lite is able to store and protect up to four DS Lite games. Also, all the buttons and slots of the DS Lite can be accessed with the gaming system housed within the case. Otherwise, the DS Lite model has all the features of its PSP brethren. <br /></span><br /><span id="more-3647"></span>
</p>
<p><span id="body_text"><br />We find the PlayGear Pocket Lite in a plastic rectangular package. In the front we see the case through the package with a surrounding white and green cardboard box with a picture of the Pocket Lite skinned with the green Logitech background. Turning over the box, one sees the features, contents and system requirements. Like the Playgear Pocket Slim for PSP, this package has a pre-perforated opening.<br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl4-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl4 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl4-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl1-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl1 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl1-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl2-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl2 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl2-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl3-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl3 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl3-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>
<p>Once the package is open, we find the PlayGear Pocket Lite, two templates and instructions. The case is composed of a polycarbonate shell with a secure snap closure on the front edge. On the bottom right hand corner of the cover we see the Logitech logo in silver.<br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl5-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl5 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl5-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl6-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl6 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl6-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl7-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl7 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl7-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl8-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl8 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl8-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>
<p>There are openings on the back side for the left and right triggers, along with an opening for the game cartridge and charging port. The right side has openings for easy access to the power switch and stylus. While the front has a cut out area for the headphone jack, volume switch and GameBoy Advance cartridge slot.<br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl13-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl13 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl13-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl9-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl9 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl9-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl10-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl10 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl10-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl11-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl11 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl11-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl12-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl12 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl12-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>
<p>The inside of the PlayGear Pocket Lite has two white foam inserts. These are removable so that the user can personalize the case with a skin. On the inside of the top foam insert, we find four cut out squares which can store up to four DS Lite cartridges.<br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl14-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl14 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl14-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl15-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl15 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl15-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl16-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="100" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl16 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl16-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>

<p>Here we see the openings to access the various functions of the DS Lite. Like its PSP version, the PlayGear Pocket Lite can be played with the game system residing within the case; although it does add a slight amount of bulk. My daughter prefers to remove the DS Lite from the case while playing. <br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl21-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl21 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl21-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl22-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl22 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl22-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl23-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl23 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl23-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl24-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl24 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl24-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>
<p>Personalizing the PlayGear Pocket Lite involves tracing the template over a picture and then cutting it out. Unlike the PSP, I was unable to find prefabricated templates on the web. Since I used my daughter’s Nintendo DS Lite, I personalized the PlayGear Pocket Lite using some Mr. Men pictures. <br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl26-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl26 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl26-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl25-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3647]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite f784pdpl25 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketlite-f784pdpl25-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Lite" /></a> </p>

<p>The PlayGear Pocket Lite takes all the features of the the PlayGear Pocket Slim for the PSP and improves them. In addition to the ability to keep the Nintendo DS Lite safe and to personalize the case, the PlayGear Pocket Lite allows storage of up to four DS Lite games and gives access to all facets of the game system when housed within the case. The PSP version did not offer these last two features. </p>
<p>The only negative is that the case may make the DS Lite feel too big or unwieldy for little kid hands. Otherwise, this case is the perfect solution to protect ones Nintendo DS Lite and to add a personal flare.<br /></span></p>
<p><strong>Pros:</strong><br /><span id="pro">Provides excellent protection</span><br /><span id="pro">Personalizable</span><span id="pro">Can play DS Lite within the case</span><br /><span id="pro">Stores up to four game cartridges</span></p>
<p><strong>Cons:</strong><br /><span id="con">none</span> </p>

<p><span id="preamble">Cases designed to protect portable gaming systems can be bland. Sure you get the physical protection, but they lack individuality. Logitech has addressed this issue with their newest case the PlayGear Pocket Slim for the PSP 2000 series aka the PSP Slim. This case allows the user to access all the controls and connections while the PSP is housed within the PlayGear Pocket Slim. </p>
<p>Logitech includes a template for creating custom skins that lets one personalize the case to their style. In addition, the case can accommodate the larger 2220 mAh Extended Life Battery. </span></p>

</p>
<p><span id="body_text"><br />The PlayGear Pocket Slim arrives in a plastic rectangular box with a pre-perforated area on the back of the box. Thanks Logitech, no plastic package cuts today! The front of the package has a windowed area where the PlayGear Pocket Slim can be seen. There is a white cardboard surrounding the rest of the inner package. The back lists the features, contents and system requirements for the case. <br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear2-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear2 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear2-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear1-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear1 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear1-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> </p>
<p>Upon opening the package we find the PlayGear Pocket Slim, a clear template and instructions. On the template are instructions on how to use it to personalize the case. <br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear4-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear4 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear4-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear3-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear3 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear3-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <br />The PlayGear Pocket Slim is a composed of clear polycarbonate shell with a snap closure which keeps the PSP from falling out of the case. Pressing on the secure snap closure opens the case. Inside the case are two removable black foam inserts to provide shock protection from any impacts. On the lower right front cover there is a white Logitech logo. The top and bottom right and left corners provide openings to allow access to the right and left triggers, the headphone jack, charging jack and the carrying strap. <br /><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear8-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear8 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear8-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear5-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear5 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear5-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear6-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear6 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear6-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear7-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="112" alt="windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim 10c40playgear7 thumb Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/windowslivewriterlogitechplaygearpocketslim-10c40playgear7-thumb.jpg" width="150" border="0" title="Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim" /></a> </span></p>

Since I have large hands, playing games on the PSP in the PlayGear Pocket Slim is actually more comfortable. <br />Customizable protection is the slogan for the PlayGear Pocket Slim and the included template provides the ability to personalize ones case. The template allows the user to cut out a picture to the size specifications of the PlayGear Pocket Slim. In addition, you can search the web for sites that have premade Playgear Pocket Skins. Just download these, cut out the shape and you insert it into the case. Installation of the skins involves removing the black foam inserts, placing the skin inside the case and reinserting the black foam.</p>

Unfortunately the case does not allow the storage of UMD discs or memory sticks. Also, since the case is a clear polycarbonate, it does have the ability to get scratched, but that is better than the alternative of a broken or marred PSP.

<p>
<p><strong>Conclusion: </strong><span id="conclusion"></p>
<p>The PlayGear Pocket Slim is a sturdy well-made case and almost exactly the same as the original PlayGear Pocket case for the PSP-1000. There are no major changes in the form or function, but since this case is modeled on one of the best PSP cases available, why mess with success; although Logitech could have added UMD and Memory Stick storage capacity. </p>
<p>The ability to skin the PlayGear Pocket Slim lets the user add his or her personality to the case. With the included template, the user can design their own skins or download premade ones from online resources. </span></p>
<p><strong>Pros:</strong><br /><span id="pro">Inexpensive</span><br /><span id="pro">Provides excellent protection</span><br /><span id="pro">Can play PSP within the case</span><br /><span id="pro">Personalizable</span></p>
<p><strong>Cons:</strong><br /><span id="con">No room for UMD, Memory Stick storage</span> </p>

<p><span id="preamble">The Nintendo Wii is the most popular next generation gaming console out on the market. It does not have the most powerful processor or the best graphics. What is does have is a unique controller interface using the Wiimote and Nunchuk attachment. Many games are controlled with gesture motions instead of just a controller/joystick interface. This factor makes it appeal to all age groups. Simple games such as bowling take on a new life with gesture based control. </span></p>
<p><span>Out of the box, one of the most played games is the one included with the system – Wii Sports. Using the Wiimote, the player can play Golf, Tennis, Bowling, Baseball and Boxing. The on screen character’s movements are controlled with movements of the Wiimote that mimics the real life motion of that particular sport. </span></p>
<p><span>To add a touch of realism to these great party games, EagleTech has released the WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack. The WiiPALS Sports Pack features a remote controller handle and Baseball Bat, Tennis Racket and Golf Club attachments. Now swinging for the fences seems more realistic, hitting a backhand is more life like and hooking the golf ball into the water, never more simple. </span></p>
<p><span id="more-1184"></span></p>
<p>The WiiPAL Sports Pack arrives in a white box with some grey and light blue coloring on it that matches the Wii console’s packaging. There is a clear plastic window which displays the various components of the WiiPAL Sports Pack, including the Tennis Racket, Golf Club, Baseball Bat and Controller Handle. On the top left corner is a description of the WiiPAL Sports Pack.</p>

<p>Using the WiiPAL handle and attachments is relatively simple to set up. The Wiimote is placed into the WiiPAL handle. Make sure the wrist strap is inserted through this remote control handle, otherwise disaster may occur. Once the Wiimote is in place, then one of the three sports attachments may be connected.</p>
<p><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal17.jpg" rel="lightbox[1184]"><img style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal17-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="wiipal17 thumb Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" width="244" height="164" title="Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal16.jpg" rel="lightbox[1184]"><img style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal16-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="wiipal16 thumb Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" width="244" height="164" title="Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" /></a></p>
<p>Hooking up one of these attachments is as simple as lining up the grooved ends and sliding the pieces together until they are flush with one another. You will hear and fell a click once they lock in together. Swapping out attachments is simple. Slide the button on the attachment near the connection and slide the components apart. Now insert the next sports attachment.</p>
<p><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal18.jpg" rel="lightbox[1184]"><img style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal18-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="wiipal18 thumb Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" width="244" height="164" title="Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" /></a> <a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal19.jpg" rel="lightbox[1184]"><img style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal19-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="wiipal19 thumb Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" width="244" height="164" title="Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal20.jpg" rel="lightbox[1184]"><img style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" src="http://i.testfreaks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wiipal20-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="wiipal20 thumb Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" width="244" height="164" title="Eagle Neptor ET NPWSP410 WiiPAL 4 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii" /></a></p>
<p>For the rigorous testing, I employed the best Wii Sports player around – my daughter. She had no problems in using the WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack with the Wiimote. She particularly enjoyed the Baseball Bat and Tennis Racket attachments, since they made her feel like she was swinging a real version of these replicas.</p>
<p>When I used the WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack, I noticed that it added some extra weight to the controller and gave the game a slightly different feel. The response time for tennis and baseball is changed with the additional weight with the attached peripheral. Only the golf club added little to no weight, so that part of Wii Sports was unchanged.</p>
<p>However, there are some drawbacks when using these attachments. First, the remote control holder blocks the emitter portion of the Wiimote, making it impossible to navigate menus using the cursor. Luckily, all the menus is Wii Sports can be navigated with the directional pad, so that is not such a big issue.</p>
<p>Second, any Wii game runs the risk of hitting people or objects with the Wiimote. Adding extensions to the remote will only increase the risk of this occurring.</p>
<p>Finally, attaching the wrist strap can be difficult, especially if using one of the newer straps which are thicker. The problem with the wrist strap is that the opening on the holder does not allow the end of the new straps to pass, so it takes some careful maneuvering to feed the loop of the Wiimote through the opening while the Wiimote rests inside the holder. It can be done, but will take a little bit of patience.</p>
<p><strong>Conclusion: </strong></p>
<p>Did the WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack add much to the game experience? Did it make game play more realistic? That answer is up to the user. My daughter really enjoyed it. While the attachments made Wii Sports seem slightly more realistic, I still felt like I was playing a video game with cartoon like characters on the screen. Also, I found it to be a hassle to have to switch extensions between games. One of the nice things about the Wii is that most games involve picking up the Wiimote and playing the game. With these attachments, game play becomes more elaborate.</p>
<p>The WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack adds some realism to the Wii Sports game that comes bundled with the Wii. They make the games more enjoyable, especially for the younger Wii players. However, the WiiPAL 4-in-1 Sports Pack can lose its novelty quickly, especially if you have to take them off frequently.</p>
<p><strong>Pros:</strong></p>
<p>-Adds a bit realism to Wii Sports</p>
<p>-Affordable</p>
<p>-Easy to install</p>
<p>-Little kids love them</p>
<p><strong>Cons:</strong></p>
<p>-Handle holder blocks IR signal from remote</p>
<p>-Increases risk of Wii induced injury/damage</p>
<p>-May become closet item quickly</p>
