Seems you're becoming a collector of USB drives. I'm running a very special site for collectors of mass-produced collectibles allowing them to easily manage their personal collection from a central wiki-like catalog (avail in 35 languages) and was wondering if you'd like to add USB drives as a collectibles category there. Please contact me through the site if interested: http://colnect.com

Cool geeky test - but of limited utility since a) the manufacturers probably switch the guts around at the drop of a hat to whatever's cheapest this week and b) there's no way to know who makes what - this month if Santa and Skull are hot, some other company will start making rip-offs next month.

Anyway I don't think anybody who buys these kinds of drives even cares at all about performance. And even for non-novelty thumb drives, for most people reliability and capacity count for much more in a thumb drive than performance.
