I thought I should take a few minutes to respond to a few of the things you bring up about Testfreaks and especially the scoring. You seemed to have stumbled on a bug in our system, we do take into account the age of the product and the age of the reviews but for some reason that part of our FreakScore hasn’t been working properly so we are coming out with a fix shortly. So for those examples you talked about above these should be more accurate numbers.

Besides this there are many more things we need to address then just the FreakScore in order to give our users a better overview of the differences between the products. It must be easier to understand how much better the IN83 is compared to the IN82 for example, not only the grades but also in terms of features and the simple fact that the IN83 is a never projector with many differences that makes it stand out from the old generation. In short we are working on it and we always welcome comments and insights that helps us deliver a better user experience.

We know that our users love reading great reviews such as the reviews provided by Projectorreviews.com and we encourage all users who are looking for new products to read many reviews before they buy something, thats why we are here :) . But we also need to give something extra to table, the meta review and meta information about the product and we are adding value today but we have much more to give then whats visible on the site today so in the end the mix between what we offer and what great professional review sites offer is going help users buy the right products.
