I’m sorry, this is going to sound so ignorant, but hoping for some help here. I purchased this monitor a couple years ago and never really hooked it up for some reason. I just decided to a few days ago, and love the new desktop real estate, but I am a graphic designer and the color is so far off it’s not even workable. I realize as a serious graphic designer I should probably purchase a much better set-up but that’s just not really in the cards right now. I see in the original post that the color was far off and after working with the Nvidia settings it looks much better. I don’t see anything anywhere about Nvidia settings on my machine, so I gather that this has to do with your video card? I have this monitor connected to my HP laptop with Vista 64-bit and an ATI Radeon graphics card. Is this my problem? I have messed with every possible setting in the ATI Catalyst Control Center and the color doesn’t look any better. If I purchase the SpyderExpress3 to calibrate, do you think there is hope for this monitor? Or would I just be better off spending that money on a new monitor all together? Thanks so much for any advice you can provide.

Thank you so much for writing about this! Our 25″ Hanspree TV has been going dark for dark scenes which gets especially annoying. We tried so many things and your advice about the X-Contrast is the only thing that worked. For anyone with the same issue, it’s hidden on page 2 of the Picture settings.

I own a Hannspree Television and computer monitor (hsd150mx19).

The TV and PC monitor plays(displays) but is without sound I thinks its the its the little heat sink like amplifier thats gone bad. If thats is the problem where can I find a replacement?

I bought two of these monitors a little while back and am using one as my pc monitor with no problems. We also have a 40″ HD monitor used as a tv in the living room so I was thinking of using the other Hannspree monitor as a tv in my child’s room. Would it work like the one in my living room?

Question: The disk that came with the monitor only has drivers for Windows Vista and Windows 7, where do I find drivers for Windows XP?
Answer: All Hannspree monitors are plug-and-play meaning that they do not require a driver to work. There are no performance enhancing drivers for a monitor. The drivers provided on the disk simply provide your computer with the Hannspree marketing model name rather than a default monitor.

Hi there. I got two monitors. It’s a good buy. The only problem is that I’m using one with Vista… It works great. the other one is is hooked up to my old PC that still has Windows XP on it. The picture is horrible, because the driver is for vista ot windows 7. I can’t find one to XP. Does anyone know how I could get the driver, or just get it to work with XP?

Hey @HANNspree user! The black audio jack to the right of the green audio jack is an audio out port for headphones, and it will also work for computer speakers. This is what I use to get sound into my computer speakers through HDMI. Just make sure you’re using stereo sound, and not 5.1.

I’m still using this monitor today, I love it really..For whatever reason mine stopped doing the delay when switching to full screen… I don’t recall what I did though.. and I fixed any and all color issues using the Spyder3Express that I reviewed a while back…

I saw one of these at BestBuy on clearance for $199 but they were out of stock. So I went to another BestBuy and there it was $169 but they were also out of stock. I had the salesperson do a computer search and he found a store about 40 minutes away that had 4 in stock. When I got there they were down to 2 still in sealed boxes so I bought them both…at $119 each! I think they screwed up because that’s lower than what the were selling the 20″ for. They work perfect. 1080p, hdmi, speakers, 23″ widescreen,… I’m a happy camper.
