In response to M.K.Akbar’s first question: “Can I listen to Radio CEYLON(Sri Lanka) thru Internet Radio with this device?”

The software this device allows for searches by region. I was unable to find anything searching for Ceylon but under Sir Lanka, I found the following stations listed and most of them worked with no problems:

To those asking what this device does? Well all it really does is provide a listing search for more than 13,000 radio stations. You could look for them in Google or some software music players also do this. Some stations can be played directly on the player software provided or for some it just takes you to the web page from which you can listen to the station with an embedded player. Many other software players do this too and some for free.

What I like about this device is that it is small, cheap and PORTABLE. If you work in an environment where they won’t allow you to or use WinAmp or other player to stream music, this device may allow you to do it, just depending upon how the system administrator is blocking users. What I like is that this device is portable and can contain my preselected favorites so I have them instantly when I sit down at a new computer in a new location.

Oh, I do find this device crashes more than it should but otherwise it works very well at organizing and finding Internet broadcasts. I have also used vTuner on an Archos 605 Wifi player and far prefer vTuner as implemented on the Archos because it also searches for radio and video podcasts too.

I,m not too computer-savvy at all -but i think this device is well worth the price- i have an older E-mach’ never a problem so far- digital reception- no drops- beautiful separation-handy-diminuative- and the lighted pink glow is great! i,d buy another in a minute!

Oh man… This is just a stupid hard coded pendrive with some stupid SW to access shoutcast radios. Install winamp with the shoutcast library, you would get the same amount of radio stations, and of course you can filter by genre, search by name, etc.
You can save as many radio stations as favourites to your bookmarks (and shoutcast radios can be listened with most of the media players, like the windows media player, and their website also offers different search possibilities). Not to mention all these alternatives are completely legal and free.

I simply just don’t understand how can be so many people missleaded by these kind of products.

To answer the common question of why buy this when you can get radio for free. Because this gets 13000 stations and you can choose by genre or region. How much time is wasted searching for a station in a city you want in another country? Also if your job blocks things it wont block this so you can listen to radio at work. And finally if you listen to AOL Radio you get 3-4 ads at a time which gets annoying, and it constantly stops on you. And finally, maybe some of us like it all right there to choose from without the hassles of search. BTW I bought two off Amazon at only 13 bucks apiece with free shipping.

worth buying it…..looks cooooool, but at the same time you can search in internet for online live radios and you can find lots nlots of online music streaming websites for free.

I bought exactly the same one, identical software, facia etc but in silver colour.
It is branded prolectrix and was bought in UK from a Wilkinsons store for only £7.50.
I find it a superb little device, very easy to use and portable too.
The amount of radio stations never ceases to amaze me. The choice of music types is the setting I use most for listening to Rock, 80′s and Progressive Rock, (yes I am “old”).
An absolute bargain I would recommend to anyone who enjoys music or even News and current affairs…..though thereis enough of that crap on TV !!!
It plugged in and worked immediately…I love simple software.

Hello again…

Another couple of thoughts. If a user doesn’t like the drive letter taken by the Jukebox, then it is easy to change it; for example, see or for a shorter URL.

I created a shortcut on my desktop, which works well. However, when I changed something else (an external hard drive for backups wasn’t on when I first installed the Jukebox), then I change the Jukebox drive through a right click on properties and then shortcut.

It is interesting to see so many with problems. I’m using Windows Vista Ultimate and once the driver was installed it has been working flawlessly. It is truly Plug & Play. The Ads don’t bother me because I mostly have it minimized. I paid $20 with free shipping, so I think the price was ok.
