Callpod is a dishonest company. Don't trust them with your password.

You could buy keeper for a one time fee of $14.95 in order to synch your iphone to your desktop. I used it for about six month that way. Then they upgraded the iphone application and you could no longer backup or synch unless you purchased a $29.99 yearly subscription. The customers who purchased the application before the subscription model was added could no longer use their application for synching. A scam !

No support from the Callpod "Keeper" people. I purchased the Desktop Keeper which allows download and installation on two desktop computers for$29.95 a year. I was able to download and activate on the first but not the second computer. I e-mailed support and allowed 3 days with no response. I called and finally reached a less than friendly young lady who took my info and said she reset it and that everything should be fine. Reset what? I don;t know. Well, it wasn't fine and guees what, still no response to my plea for help from support, after 60 hours. They have a good product but there lack of support is going to ruin it. I'm about ready to remove Keeper an request a refund. I, sure that'lll be like pulling teeth. These people need to get real and get on the ball.

I need to know if I can retreive my information on Keeper if I did not initially have a password or email address. Every time I opened Keeper it said my data was backed up. I did not know I had to have a email address or password for backing up my information.

I also have an account on Google - rfmherdmem@gmail.com.

I keep trying to install Keeper Desktop 30 day trial version on my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.3. The icon bounces for a few seconds on the dock and then the app just shuts down. I've tried many downloads (though Cnet) and many attempts at installations/deletions using Appcleaner.app/ system restarts.

No use. I am seriously considering this much acclaimed software. But not before I try it - it is one of the few with free mobile clients ( and I need multiple clients).

Can somebody help, please?

I had to reset my iPhone to factory settings. All apps disappeared of course. So I reloaded some and amongst them the Callpod Keeper. To my surprise all the entries in the Keeper were still there without any syncronizing exept for with iTunes. Where were all my codes? I have sent the question to Callpod and have not recieved an answer.
Anyone who knows?

From the Callpod website:
"For optimal security, Keeper technology is U.S. Military and Department of Homeland Security approved 128-Bit AES cipher encryption."

In error, I left out a digit of my master password and yet the application still opened.

I tried it with two digits missing, then three - same result, it opened the app, relieving all my passwords.

On final testing, I found it will open with just the last two digits of the master password.

Either I have a glitch in mine or there is a major, major problem with Callpod's security.

I've been using Password Safe for years and needed something that would synchronize my password between my desktop & iphone, so this looked ideal. I have over 600 unique online identities and related passwords and really didn't relish idea of entering each and every one into Keeper, so the import feature seemed ideal as well. I plunked down my $14.95 and got the desktop client.

I exported my records from Password Safe and imported them in to Keeper; some 650+ successfully imported. Except not really.

Not much lined up correctly. I had some 112 empty records. Performing any activity in the application (which looks and feels like a Java application) immediately hangs the application for well over a minute. So, I finally got the empty records deleted, but performance is still abysmal. It took 20 minutes to bring up the application and delete the remaining 500 records.

At this point, I will make a few sample records and export those and use the exported file as a template. Then I will have to manually massage the records exported from Password Safe into the same format before trying to import them.

Had the performance been acceptable, I would have done all my editing within Keeper. At this point, assuming I can weed out 30% of the records as duplicates or outdated, I am still very concerned that Keeper will simply not be sufficiently performant to be usable.

This is really useful if you have a different password for eveything and rely on a Gmail draft with all your passwords. It seems like a reasonable buy.

This program is slick. And it DOES sync between iphone and computer id you own the free iPhone app and the $14.95 desktop version. It is fast and easy. It is defintely made for the "rest of us". If you lose your iPhone, it is all back at home waiting for you. It is faster/easier than a normal sync with iTunes.

You're right - it is listed as free. Maybe it wasn't before? I like to think so. Maybe it was? Probably. Either way, that's even better.
