I like your review of the product. All that you have mentioned I experienced on my own. I was sold this product…(never hearing of it previously) and the cost was almost $200. I see the profit margin. It took almost two months for me to really focus and not let the tiger go. However, I am a MAC user and found this item because of the index is compatible with Microsoft mostly (not MAC). Is that your findings. All in All— I was exploited by the purchasing this product. I do not care for the product. Your video comments, as well as music, I found to be correct. To me…all in all, not user friendly. Thanks

Hi Raheem, does this really mean you cannot connect an external usb drive, which doesn’t have an AC power, as a lot of portable hard drive do not have ? If not, what sense as my external drives (Toshiba canvio Plus 500) do not have an own AC power. Thanks

according to the manual it does do loop play. NOT shuffle. I hope so that is my plan for it.

if you do not have a memory card/stick or the likes plugged in then it will display “device not present” – see previous mention about limit of HD size.

Remote has a plastic tab inserted inside over it’s battery. Remove it. Point remote at the device not TV ya goober LOL

rebooted device with HD connected , wont reconize remote . Says not device present ;my view POS you get what you pay for

i just bought it wont even reconize my 500gb ext hard ,it’s been loading my usb flash drive for 10 minutes ,doesnt work for me taking it back ASAP

Beware that Cirago CTM1000 cannot read discs > 1 TB.

You will need a usb drive that has an additional AC power plug, the external USB drive can not be powered by the unit unless its one of those little thumb drives……i’ve noticed whenever you try to fast forward or reverse, the audio & video get out of sync and you need to start playing the movie all over again without fast forwarding or reversing or it’ll unsync again….very frustrating!….I will return my unit ASAP!

Having issues playing video from a usb- it is all scrambled. do you have any ideas as to remedy this???

Can you watch youtube or hulu or netflix (etc) from your computer to the TV with this??? I’m not sure if it matters, but I have a MacBook laptop aluminum unibody (2009). I know the Mac has things you can buy to make TV viewing possible, but I’d rather get something even more versatile and cheaper (there is a better deal on this at buy dot com).

i was wondering, does this thing do continuous video play? or video shuffling? i need a usb media player that will keep playing the videos in a given folder like a playlist.. anyone know of a media player of this sort?
