Why is the file so big after being processed? After working with 5 files of approx. 20 mb, it produced them at almost 12 gb…crazy!!!

Would be a GREAT piece of software, except for the menu problems. I get the C0040004 error as soon as I’ve made my own menu’s and customised their horrid default template …which is why I’m snooping around the forums like this for a fix.

Should be far more robust than that.

On the positives, the capture is excellent, and the basic dvd creation steps give you everything you need to create a really nice dvd. The best beginner software out there, and I’ve tried a lot.

I was also having a problem with the 800700e burn failure error. But I found that when I savedthe program , exited and reloaded PowerDirector and then updated the menu options it worked. I am wondering if it occurs somehow as a result of using the preview function, as when I was getting the error previously it was after I had previewed the DVD.

Im having a problem with Power Director, My version is about a year old and now ive made a decent video when its burning it only gets to 42% then says error code a0000005.
Can some body help me as im getting frustrated. ta

I have seen 2 posts with my exact problem. PD will not import *.avi files. It gives some bogus generic error message about the library. Does anyone have an idea of why it will not import *.avi files?

cannot import my own music tracks in cyberlink powerdirector 8.

D Hi this is Joe,,,

Ok I have the same issue with error 8007000e.

Ok this was my first option so I won’t get error 8007000e. Please read both option before you do anything…..option 1 and option 2 can either go either way…

- I am assuming that some videos that I use or back ground on my project are some how corrupted and cyber link software can’t recognize it.

Please read both option before you do anything….

Create a File for your project.

1) Ok go to produce-Select create a file(Next) -Select .Avi & Avi High Quality Profile(Next)-Save it to you’re computer or any where you can find it and finally -Start rendering. Ok once it’s done you need to close Cyberlink then open it again and

(Import media) import you’re file and then start creating you’re CD.

This has helped the most but in case it doesn’t work try the second option.

2) I deleted my project and started fresh….. Yes I know it’s so frustrating. Deleted some stuff and replace them

with something else …some times when you download vid from YouTube or use background images from the internet can really make cyberlink go crazy. Make sure you trust the website before you download.

Hey every body! I just discover why my cyberlink crashes. I notice that
if i upload a corrupted vid to cyberlink will freeze and uses all my CPU because it’s trying to
recognize it. Once i removed the vid from my computuer cyberlink started to work better than ever…jejejejeje….Now, I just have to be very carefull that i dont use any personal/youtube vid or any that is corrupted or it willmake my computer/cyberlink go crazy….

So glad im not going crazy, thinking that my comp was
no good. i just purchase cyberlink ultra suite 7 and it crashes once
i start to working on it……i have 4GB
of free ram and was thinking of buying more but it seem that
the software is the issue.
im looking into sony vega but not until i make
more research.
Just incase any one finds a solution for this issue
please let us now….

I’ve been using PowerDirector 6, for 2 years…it crashes regularly, especially when there are moving titles. Last week, it crashed 30 times when making an 8 minute video. Unless Cyberlink has cleaned up their act and debugged their software, I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m moving on to Sony Vegas studio.

Crash, crash, crash. I have 4 gigs of RAM, Athlon X2 video card, can run anything but this. I burned one disk, now it just crashes when I click “create DVD”. So what? Reinstall? Again? This should not happen. And I am not the only one… the web is full of the exact same complaint, which Cyberlink apparently will not address. Very poor software…
