I've had an Artison800 for some time now and it is terrible. I am always waiting on it to do processing, even for the most simplest text prints. It sometimes goes into some bizzaro mode and gobbles up ink, and even without doing that it seems to use ink very quckly. Often it doesn't connect right and I have to go into some diagnosis mode, wiggling the connector cable and opening and closing the lid. Avoid this printer or suffer. I think this printer was designed to make Epson money off ink cartridge sales.

I have had my Artisan 800 for about 6 months now. I love it as much as Kristopher does. I am finally running out of ink and am looking at either re-filliable, or continous ink systems. I print mainly DVD's. I may get a set of regular cartridges while I am trying to decide on a more permanent solution. I do agree with polly, in that I wish you had the option to continue printing when one cartridge registers as empty. That is my only complaint after 6 months of use.

The epson printer 800 is a P.O.S!!! Do not purchase one of these things. The makers of this machine should be shot! It prints no more than a couple of pages before consuming ALL OF THE INK!! You must replace every ink cartridge it calls for regardless of whether that color is being used and it uses six different colors. The cost of ink replacement requires an organ donation. Not to mention it is made very cheaply and requires constant head cleaning before it will print. Never again will I buy Epson!!!!
