i have had this drive for over a year, and have had no problems at all.

ok, its a bit loud, but it has NEVER failed to read a disc, Crysis included…

i have never used the Ez-Dub buttons, as i use nero 9, and the software needs version 7.5…

i dont really think its fair to mark it down on this minor point…

as for “Gulfport Technology Center”s comments about not needing anything further input when burning a disc are frankly ridiculous…

can’t find my disc to download my liteon dvd recorder where can I obtain a new disc or down load 100% free for my nero 7 esstentials ?
I had uninstalled it and now wish to reinstall .I like the program very much did a great job for me

Everytime I try to use their customer service I get booted out of their Chat and then it suddenly gets ‘Unavailable’. I cannot find a phone number to call. And the form to send an email does not work!!!

ANOTHER bugger . if you try to burn or dub a copy of file like a video recording that has chapters on the disc like a professional recording with out copywright you get a lot of errors … whats the work around liteon sucks

I bought this drive on 4/22/09. The equipment works, the software doesn’t. It’s loud,I wouldn’t buy another one of these.

I have more of a question, than a comment. I’ve recently purchased the EZ Dub, and I just want to know if it can be used with other software – besides the Nero 7? This is all very helpful, thanks.

I bought an EZ-DUB because the cd burner in my wife’s laptop gave up the ghost. I didn’t install any of the included software because there is plenty on the computer already.

I wish that the Lite-On could record cd’s at speeds down to 4x because it would allow me to burn cd’s without processing and rendering audio effects (to a degree) before burning the cd. I do a lot of location recording and need slow burning speeds sometimes. Faster is not always better.

It seems to burn fine.

Hi! I am returning our Lite-on with EZ-Dub. The EZ-Dub Feature claims to allow you to run with only the buttons on the unit. However in reality you must use the prompts on the screen or nothing happens. In taling with a very rude 2nd level tech support person at Lite-on, I was told “I don’t care what the manual says” It’s wrong and anytime you have a prompt on the screen you have to answer it. Well Nero alone does better than that and recognizes and inserted disk and continues, with EZ-Dub you have to press a sceen prompt for every copy yuou make. Also it still does not install with anything above Nero 7.
