Without RAM & a hard disk... overpriced. Maybe if it had an nVidia graphics chip. But as it stands, no thank you.

I think you guys are missing the whole point of DIY, it's for people who might happen to have the extra stuff hanging around really. Let's say you upgraded your laptop with ram and a new hard drive, well now you've got that doing nothing, well toss them in the Neutrino and you're set..

Also, The N270 runs Wndows 7 just fine. Been running the Windows 7 beta for approx 3 weeks on my eeePC 1005HA with no issues. Has less of a memory footprint than Ubuntu 9.04 even.

@Cole. That's $253 *before* you add in $25 for 2G of Ram and $??? for whatever HDD you wanted to use (Somewhere between $50 and $250 depending on what you want).

SO in reality this box runs around $325 to $550ish easily.

Hmm... $260 for a barebones netbook? I'm not quite sold. Yeah, it's nice to be able to stick in a second gig of RAM, but you can do that on most new netbooks anyways. Unless the keyboard or screen is nicer than, say, the HP Mini's, I'm really not quite sure I see the benefit here. Until you can drop your own processor in there and bump it up to 4GB and properly run windows 7, that is. ;).
