Your review could not have come at a better time. I have an IPod Classic 160, and with my 40 Movies and a few hundred Music CD's, and around 100 Music Videos, plus my Photos and Contact list, I was beating up my small 80 Gig Hard Drive on my Computer. I wound up buying two 32 Gig Flash Voyager Drives to off load my Hard Drive. After reading your review, I wound up buying two of the Patriots, just could not pass it up at around $95 dollars each, for me it was a bargain. (Amazon had them for $115, discount of 5% each, plus opening a Visa card gave me another $30 off, with free shipping). I did a loading comparison with the 32 Gig Voyager against the 64 Gig Patriot and the Patriot was almost a Third quicker than the Voyager. I tested this against a load of 20 Movies to each drive. I don't abuse these drives and they will stay brand new for quite awhile, since I am retired and travel with my IPod 160 and one USB Drive. Thanks for the info.

I can say I bought this drive and so far I am happy with it.
With the most compatable file system FS32 running on the drve I took it to the max.
With the file size 2gb limit I decided to copy my vmware widows image to the drive plus anothe 20 gb of movies. It never over heated, stayed connected and was faster then my old Kingston data travler 4gb key.

With it's metal case I won't have to worry about the cap cracking from being in my pocket every day after 6 months like my old Kingston. Of course the life time warenty is also ni e, but I hope I never have to use it.

Over all I am very pleased with this key.

Thanks for this review. One part that confuses me is how fast drives normally are. Patriot sells the magnum you reviewed. I just bought an Exporter Razzo and compared the package with another larger Patriot drive. The larger (physically - not amt of memory), more expensive drive claimed super speeds and said 180x. However, it was more than twice the cost of the Razzo, even though they're both 32Gb. The Razzo doesn't advertise the speed. Why? Must be slower, but how much. I really wish they'd come up with some fair standard, but for now, we're stuck with our own tests.
Please keep it up.

[...] Patriot 64GB Xporter Magnum USB Flash Drive So does size or speed matter? When it comes to USB drives I mean of course! USB Drives are getting larger and larger in capacity, it’s to the point where you can carry the capacity of several DVDs on one of them. With that capacity increase though the speed usually suffers, at least in the first generation of products that come out, at least that’s from what I’ve seen in my experiences anyway. ____________ Review: Testfreaks [...]
