Most SmartPhones out there are expensive, and it’s pretty much a must that you go an buy a case to protect them or should I say protect your investment. I’ve got the HTC TyTn II otherwise known as the AT&T Tilt, and I love it, it’s by far my favorite of all the phones I’ve had and I try my best to take care it with case and screen protector.
Today for review I’ve got a unique case for the HTC TyTn II / AT&T Tilt from Proporta, it’s a nice leather case that protects the keyboard and allows complete access to the phone, but what’s very unique about it is that inside the leather is a sheet of aluminum to further protect the screen from damages. A regular leather case will do a nice job of protecting the phone, but the added protection of the aluminum sheet in this Proporta case further protects it from crushing the screen accidentally. Overall it’s not a bad case….
The Proporta case comes packaged in a box within a box, inside the cardboard box is another plastic box as well.
The case can be used with or with the included belt clip, to use the clip you’ve got to attach the fastener to the case, this is done just by screwing it to the back of the case. The belt clip is the spring loaded style with a push button release, so you can just leave the clip on you belt when you answer the phone.
The case itself is black leather, on the front is the Proporta logo in the bottom right corner, of the back we have the cutout for the camera. The case flips open to reveal the phone and is fastened by a magnetic button so it stays closed very well.
The inside is lined with a soft felt like material to protect the phone, and there is a clear keyboard protector built in, the protector also helps to hold the phone in the case.
On the inside of the top cover is a cut out that shows off the aluminum plate, it’s got the Proporta web address engraved into it.

Stylish and clever.

Getting your phone in the case involves sliding it open to expose the keyboard, then you slide the keyboard under the clear plastic and into the case, there is also a small plastic clip on the back side of the phone to help hold it is place. Once you phone is in the case you’ve still got full access to all button and ports of the phone.
Here’s a couple more shots of my phone in the case, the keyboard protector work well, and you can still type on the keyboard.
Attaching the clip is easy, just screw the fastener into the back of the case, then attach the clip and you’re ready to go.
Overall this is a nice case, it’s well made with thick stitching, and it has that nice leather smell to it. The aluminum sheet inside the top of the case seems like it would do a good job at protecting the screen, and it doesn’t seem to add any weight to the case either, I like the fact that it basically open on all sides allowing for very easy access to all of the buttons and ports.
One thing that I don’t care for too much though is the design of it, the main part of the case is great with access to everything, but the flip down protector part is odd, when you open it up it flips downwards and just hangs there flopping around. I’ve got a Krusell brand case that is similar in style to this one but it flips up when you open it, it just feels easier to flip it up and over than to flip it down and under, but it could be that I’ve grown accustomed to the Krusell case since I’ve had it, and the Proporta case just feels backwards to me, and in reality it is backwards….
Good protection for phone
Allows full access to all buttons and ports
