The logger will log when not connected to a PC or phone – it is standalone.

My opensource (bt747) supports this device.

The information you give on this “Qstarz BT-Q1000X Bluetooth GPS Travel Recorder X” is very detailed and informative however it leaves out (as do other websites on various GPS Recorders) the answer to the questions: “Will the logger log to itself without being connected to a phone or PC”? Can all the information be downloaded to the PC after you get home with the logger? Is the logger a “Stand-a-lone logger?

I’ve found that neither web sites nor product advertisements answer these questions adequately. Any help out there?

I picked this up about a year ago for use mainly with my Blackbarry cell phone .It acquires a signal quickly in almost every setting. The only time I can recall having an issue was in downtown houston, getting on and off the subway and with the buildings, it would take a long time to get a good lock.

Mine was broken months ago,so I was looking for another unit to replace it. I found another better one with similar spec , it’s Canmore GT-750FL .This unit work even better and it didn’t have the same problem.

how much memory does this have? it says 200k waypoints, but how many waypoints are recorded / hour say? give an example of usage /capacity thanks
