We find the MG6120 to be useless when we try to print on a wireless connection. It constantly drops the connection and the we have to start up the laptop all over again to get the connection up. Frankly, we cannot recommend it to anybody. Indeed, we’re thinking about throwing it away and starting again with another manufacturer!

I LOVE this printer. I just bought it yesterday. The set was easy, the prints amazing – even printing photos from my Iphone turned out easy. (you can download the free canon printing app). I’ve been waiting for this printer for a long time! (the next model up DOES have a fax option for not that much more $$) I don’t fax anymore so did not need it and my space is tight, so it would have been a bit too large anyway.
Notice: Staples will now give you $50.00 for your old printer when you buy a new one. Beats just tossing it, doesn’t it!

Sorry. I think the MX 870 is your last choise. Lower scan resolution, optical, Number of Nozzles: Black: 320 / Color: 2,048 / Total: 2,368. The total average of good priters is above 4000, and better ones above 6000.
I have also red that the MX 870 drinks a lot of ink, that`s why you can find it at very ship prices, just search, in addiction none wifi. Think about it seated on the sofa and sending some of your pictures to your selectioned network printer.

Well, with the mg 6120 you`ll probably have the same result than its big brother GM6150. Resolution, speed and features are pretty much the same, but there`s a big difference in prices so what are you going to do?
Being practical is your choise subgestion and my subgestion. I am sure you have already red about both products specifications so don`t be hard with yourself because you know the litter brother is the bigger winer.

Love your thorough reviews!
However still left with doubt. I need to find a good multi-functional printer for a small home based office, for studying and for some fun with pictures. I would like to get the Canon MG 6120, but I can’t find it in Denmark where I live, and so I am trying to find out if the MG6150 is as good as the 20, I especially like the app function. I’ve also looked at MX870 and it seems that could also be an option….?

AMAZING REVIEW. Our HP All in One just gave out after 4 years. This is our first time to really shop around online for a new printer. This review was EXTREMELY helpful – as if we were at the store looking at it ourselves. Actually – better – b/c you never get to open the box or look at the software until you purchase the product. I’m a little irritated because when I scanned a photo, it comes out looking pinkish and I have lines all through the photo. I’ve tried messing with the settings but I don’t know if it’s a certain setting or what. Any tips?? It prints beautifully when I print a picture from my PC but scanning is terrible.

Is it ment as replacement for MP640? Anyway, there is no Ethernet connectivity, or am I wrong?
