I used to use Epson inkjet printers, until I took a few apart. One of the reasons people run out of ink so much is, every time they do a print job, the print head squirts just a little ink thru the nozzle to "clean" it. Over time, this will amount to LOTS of wasted ink, and, what I dont understand, is why they dont have some way of CLEANING that ink out from inside the case... that's right... the bottom of the machine gets gunked up with LOTS of ink that eventually kills the printer because the little tube that is supposed to suck the "clean" job gets gunked up, and, then it cant go thru its "cleaning" cycle.

My advice... get a monochrome laser printer for home use and if you need to print something in color, go to kinkos or somewhere similar and have them print it on their color laser printers.
