can this media player ,
play files directly from a NAS hard drive on the same LAN,
or do you have copy files from the NAS over to the internal hard disk ???

The best way to run the Box Office is with a LAN connection, but if you want to use wifi here is the info you need:

Hi,
Thanks for the review. great job. Just have one question.Can you or sone-one who has one tell me. There is a couple of features that I look for in a media player and that is the ability to play back from when you stop it last. Does this player have that? Also can you connect a hub to it and have a few HDD playing off one USB port. Thank you in advance.

Hi Kristopher ! How about to change the default name VENUS of the Box ? I think you have a good reason to do it because if you have two Patriot Box Offices , the network can see only one of them since they have same name VENUS ! and they can not see each other.
Please let me know if you can manage to change the default name . TKS

Love the Patriot Box Office MP, but cannot get it to even attempt to play a .MPEG file.

I have transferred a bunch of files from .TIVO format to .MPEG in the hopes of playing them through the BPMP, but alas, no joy.

Any ideas?
