I bought this drive, it came with a USB 3.0 that also works with USB 2.0. I am using it for mac. I don't care to much about backing up files, I am using the drive to store video. 2TB is a bit to much for me but I'm sure it would allow the drive to not over heat since 500GB is all I really need at most. I bought this drive because it was one of the few that works on mac. Nice review by the way :)

Slightly (well very) off topic, dont suppose you could recommend a decent NAS which uses RAID? I'm wanting a small unit I can hide behind the TV (where the router is) to store a few files on. I know RAID isnt supposed to be used as a backup (or you should have an additional backup as well), but they aren't vital files.
