Can anyone tell me the real transfer rate on this product please? To say it's slow is of concern to me, and I don't believe the guy above about his 10 second backup story, I'd be much more curiuos about his first backup time and size.
What's the MB/s sustained rate that you experienced with the product over the network?

OK, all I can say is ... it just works. I was kinda bummed that I couldn't find the 500GB version, but needed a backup drive right away, so got the 320GB version. Yes, it's the most difficult packaging ever to open. Gorgeous drive - light as a few potato chips - with a nice dock. Hmm ... plugged it in, took 15 seconds to activate Time Machine on my Mac, and I was in business. FAST, FAST, FAST. And everyone ooooooos and ahhhhhs when they see it on my desk at work, and love the way the lights pulse softly when a backup is occurring (which takes all of 10 seconds after the first large backup). Even more amazing is when I pop it out of the dock and stick it in my coat pocket to go home. Sweet!
