Hello, this has all i need sharing and straming butttt i like to play the movies with subtitles .SRT all the time all of my movies have subs so do i have to buy the FreeAgent GoFlex TV HD Media Player just to use this feature ? or theres something i can do to on my ps3 or the seagate sharing device to be able to play subtitles and not to spend another $100 on the media player with .SRT option thanks..

Can anyone tell me the real transfer rate on this product please? To say it’s slow is of concern to me, and I don’t believe the guy above about his 10 second backup story, I’d be much more curiuos about his first backup time and size.
What’s the MB/s sustained rate that you experienced with the product over the network?

OK, all I can say is … it just works. I was kinda bummed that I couldn’t find the 500GB version, but needed a backup drive right away, so got the 320GB version. Yes, it’s the most difficult packaging ever to open. Gorgeous drive – light as a few potato chips – with a nice dock. Hmm … plugged it in, took 15 seconds to activate Time Machine on my Mac, and I was in business. FAST, FAST, FAST. And everyone ooooooos and ahhhhhs when they see it on my desk at work, and love the way the lights pulse softly when a backup is occurring (which takes all of 10 seconds after the first large backup). Even more amazing is when I pop it out of the dock and stick it in my coat pocket to go home. Sweet!
