The instruction manual, or should I say lack of one, with mySpyder3 Express is more than frustrating!!! I cannot get it to install no matter what I have tried. I get an error and there are no instructions to fix the error!

"Now operating about three monitors My spouse and i was expecting I can calibrate all of them individually, yet My partner and i were not able to take action. I can nevertheless load the color account into our other monitors via House windows and essentially they all seem the same now"

Hello,

Whoa, a person should have already been really fortuitous because what anyone do really does not necessarily make perception at all. In the event that all a few monitors would have recently been the same make and product it might have made perception even if you even now would have to assume them to vary and thus have to have separate ICC-files. Using a hardware calibrator to generate an ICC on one monitor and then taking that document and applying this to another monitor of another design, is so far from what one is supposed to be doing regular with a hardware calibrator that My spouse and i need to question whether this assessment is reliable at all. Does one understand what kind of offense anyone fully commited on shade by taking the ICC from one design to another? :) A person caould just as much have downloaded any random ICC from the web and applied that.

I can't activate my new Spyder3Express. Keep getting error code (-8). Tried automatic, manual, new software. The device is worthless until Datacolor support replies to my ticket. I hate this type of activation.

On Mac's you can load individual profiles to each monitor.

Run it on the mac with no displays connected, and then connect a display (make it the main one) and run it again.

Worked for me, I now have two profiles loaded into my colorsync folder, and I can assign them to each monitor individually.

Ok, so I'm looking for a lower cost monitor calibrator, in the $100 price range. Those of you who didn't like the Spyder3 Express, what would you recommend? I'm so tired of researching and reading to try to figure out which is best. What's your choice? I need one soon!
Thanks!!!

Wow. first commenter is right, you really don't know what you're doing. On top of that, you're getting the same results i got with this shoddy product. EVERYONE, take a look at the spiral staircase on the calibrated view, his newly crushed blacks cause the bottom 4 stairs to DISAPPEAR.

I've just bought this and yes it works well but it's a pain that it only does ONE monitor! I contacted their tech support but no workarounds (just buy the next one up!)

you mention how you applied it via Windows; How so? I could at least try it!

"Now running three monitors I was hoping I could calibrate all of them individually, but I couldn’t do it. I could however load the color profile into my other monitors via Windows and essentially they all look the same now"

Hi,
Wow, you must have been really lucky because what you did really does not make sense at all. If all three monitors would have been the same make and model it could have made sense even though you still would have to expect them to be different and thus need separate ICC-files. Using a hardware calibrator to generate an ICC on one monitor and then taking that file and applying it to another monitor of another model, is so far from what one is supposed to be doing with a hardware calibrator that I must question whether this review is reliable at all. Do you understand what kind of crime you committed on colour by taking the ICC from one model to another? :) You caould just as much have downloaded any random ICC from the web and applied it.
