It is true that there are many alternatives for most people wanting to view digital media however frames can fill a valuable niche market. In my case i travel a lot and want to keep "present" in my young daughters daily life so if i can find one of these things that actually works i will be quite willing to pay for it.

I am interested in a device that just works without any maintanence, has no other internet access features (or the ability to disable/parental control those features), and that I can push pictures to when i want to with ease. Pushing can be posting to a photo web site where it polls from or where the device receives images directly from me. So far no company seems to have delivered a product + service that meets these requirements with any level of quality.

I don't really know what's with Photo frames. Seriously. In a world where everyone has a laptop and/or iPhone/palm pre/Blackberry/Android Photo frames seem to be out of place. Sure, it will be appealing for gramma, but let's just be kind enough to print the pictures for her.
